In 2026, deep-processed wheat products from Kazakhstan were also supplied to Saudi Arabia for the first time. Today, processed grain products from Kazakhstan are exported to 34 countries worldwide, reflecting the steady growth of international demand for medium- and high-value-added products.

BioOperations is the only producer of wheat gluten and wheat starch in Kazakhstan, as well as the only bioethanol producer in the CIS countries. The production facility, located in the North Kazakhstan region, has an annual grain processing capacity exceeding 340,000 tonnes. The company exports its products to countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Key export destinations include India, the United States, Colombia, China, Turkey, Norway, the CIS countries, the European Union, and several Arab states.

According to CEO Yevgeny Kelin, the expansion of export markets has been made possible through consistent government support:

"Amid increased import tariffs in the United States, including restrictions affecting Kazakh products, the company promptly redirected export flows to alternative markets. As a result, shipments of wheat gluten to Japan began in December 2025. The company continues to expand its export destinations within the framework of state programs aimed at developing crop production and agribusiness".

In the near term, BioOperations plans to enter the markets of Israel and Mexico, where steady demand for deep-processed wheat products is observed. The company is also conducting negotiations on bioethanol supplies to China for use in the biofuel sector.

The company uses wheat of Kazakh origin as its primary raw material, while by-products of processing are utilized in bioethanol production, ensuring efficient resource use and contributing to the sustainable development of the industry.
