One of the forum’s sponsors was Eastern Express LLP, a reliable operator in the field of railway transportation and part of the large agro-industrial holding KazFoodProducts. Participation in such a significant industry event was a logical continuation of the company’s strategy to strengthen its market position.
Eastern Express provides comprehensive railway freight transportation services. The company’s portfolio includes wagon operations, forwarding services, and rolling stock leasing. It actively works both domestically and internationally, serving more than 100 regular clients — from large manufacturers to export-oriented enterprises.
According to the director of Eastern Express LLP, Guljazira Akbergenova:
“The New Silk Way Forum is not just a business platform; it is a space for decision-making, route building, and creating new growth points. For our company, it is important to be part of this process. We are proud that Eastern Express acted as a sponsor and contributed to the development of transport diplomacy in the region.”
The forum took place within the framework of the 28th international exhibition TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2025, which for many years has been the largest exhibition platform in the region for transport and logistics. This year, the forum became especially relevant against the backdrop of Kazakhstan’s growing role as a transit bridge between China, Europe, and the Middle East countries.
Special attention was drawn to the transport ministers from different countries, including Kazakhstan, Belarus, Pakistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of international organizations. Representatives of the Chinese, Azerbaijani, Georgian, and Iranian railways also participated.
An important part of the program was a teleconference with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during which the “Dostyk-Moyynty” project was launched — a strategic initiative to develop the transport corridor.
