A new plant with a capacity of 48,000 tons per year will be built in the Almaty region. It will become the first in Kazakhstan specializing in the industrial production of premixes. At present, such products are mostly imported. The project is aimed at reducing dependence on imports and developing local production.

“The creation of a joint venture is an important step for the country’s feed industry. Currently, feed components are mainly supplied from abroad. The launch of the plant will partially replace imports, create new jobs, increase budget revenues, and enhance the resilience of the industry,” said Sayan Ashenov, Chairman of the Management Board of AsiaAgroFood JSC.

Peter Horvath, CEO of UBM Group, added that the holding has already successfully implemented similar joint projects in Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Slovakia, and Austria, and now Kazakhstan has joined them:

“This is our first premix project in Kazakhstan. We chose Kazakhstan for a reason - it has high-quality raw materials, experienced professionals, and favorable conditions for the development of the industry,” he emphasized.

It should be recalled that the agreement on the implementation of projects in the field of compound feed and premix production was reached during the visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Hungary in November 2024.
