The company has been consistently developing its agricultural processing capabilities and has a proven track record of delivering industrial projects. In 2017, KazFoodProducts acquired the idle Biokhim plant located in the Taiynsha district of the North Kazakhstan region. Following extensive modernization, the facility was fully restored and brought back into operation.
Today, the plant processes over 340 000 tons of grain annually and produces high value-added products, including starch, wheat gluten, and bioethanol. Bioethanol is exported to European countries and is also used as a component of eco-friendly fuel, providing a technological foundation for the company’s new business direction.
The new project is being implemented in partnership with the national company KazMunayGas and U.S. partners. The future plant will have a production capacity of 50 000 tons of fuel per year, with total investments estimated at approximately USD 200 million.
The project will enable the company to extend its value chain from grain processing to the production of finished fuel products, increase its export potential, and strengthen Kazakhstan’s position in the global market for environmentally friendly energy. The construction of the plant marks an important step in KazFoodProducts’ strategy to diversify its business and implement advanced technological solutions focused on sustainable development.
